Lonely Lives

They were just two lonely people,
as lonesome as they could be,
tired of the life that they lived
and on that they could agree.

He was lonely on the prairie,
the only life that he'd known,
'cause he was a single cowboy
who spent all his time alone.

She was lonely on the prairie,
the only life that she'd known,
'cause she was a single cowgirl
who spent all her time alone.

They were just two lonely people,
as lonesome as they could be,
tired of the life that they lived
and on that they could agree.

He was lonely on the prairie,
when he met her on the range,
and he fell for her right away
ready for his life to change.

She was lonely on the prairie,
when she met him on the range,
and she fell for him right away
ready for her life to change.

Now they live their lives together,
their loneliness gone away,
riding across the open range,
enjoying life day by day.
